Android: Installing, uninstalling and (force) closing apps

How to install apps

  1. Open Google Play Store.
  2. Search for the app you would like to install in the search field
  3. Select the desired app
  4. Click on install 

How to uninstall apps

To uninstall an app an your Android device, tab and hold the App icon, then drag the app over the uninstall area and let go. 

Alternatively, you can use the Apps section in your Device Settings.

Closing an app

  1. Tap and hold the overview button.
  2. Swipe the app that should be closed by swipe it to the left or right.

Force closing an app

  1. Open Settings
  2. Select the app you would like to close (you can only show the running apps in the running tab)
  3. Tab the Stop or Force Stop button
