Welcome to 5.8! We’re excited to bring this update to life and are even more excited that you can be a part of the process. Please keep in mind that features may be removed or delayed if critical bugs are found during the open beta and internal testing.
New Dungeons
Overview
Are you prepared to explore the most sinister dungeon in Gods&Glory yet? The Molten Sanctum arrives with its first level, which includes five waves of bloodthirsty monsters.
What is the reward for those brave enough to descend? Each army of monsters you defeat in the new dungeon gives the chance of winning a brand new and precious item — Flameheart Essence. Make sure to stock it up because you’ll need it for the next regular craft line of items.
This, however, is not the only new deep, dark corner of the Gloryverse that you get to explore.
The Twilight Armada is getting a fourth level! It comes with rebalanced armies and fireflies in the rewards!
[Update] We see that you were eager to beat the final wave of the Molten Sanctum. While we appreciate you trying, the Minotaur is not meant to be beaten yet. We hope that this first level of the new dungeon serves as a stepping stone to more exciting changes to the dungeons as a whole.
Mercenary Barracks
Overview
We’re expanding the improved buildings! This time around it’s the Barracks that get a purple roof. And! Thanks to player feedback you will be able to upgrade the existing Barracks directly to Mercenary ones and the regular House to a Spacious one without having to demolish the old structure. Continue investing in your city’s infrastructure for improved queue size and recruitment speed. Learn more here.
Forge UI Improvements
Overview
The forge is getting a long-overdue revamp. We created an improved Forge UI flow. There are new buttons that will sort the items by levels. Dividing them into 3 groups, items level 1-10, items level 11-20 and items level 21+. And also a fourth one for Special Craft.
Please keep in mind that the images are mockups. You’ll be able to see the final version of the new UI in the open beta or once the update comes out.
Fixes
- Lag reductions. We’ve made steps to try to at least reduce the lag that many have been experiencing for some time now.
- Some crash rate and ANR improvements.
